TRIVET

The trivet project was my first project of the year. I wanted to work a lot with geometric shapes and negative space. It was the most challenging to keep the piece from breaking especially in the middle where there are 4 large triangles of negative space.

I decided to take a risk and use a speckled glaze, which I had never used before. I also enjoyed experimenting with this project, and it gave me a great opportunity to carve and cut out designs.
